Chapter 16. Holding out for a home life

Man-twin, pack up your bags. I, among others, have joined the elite ranks of the Guides and now have the illustrious job of welcoming naked people to this crazy hippie commune.

Which means we now get CUSHY SECTION 4 DIGS. Heat. Air. SPACE in which you can conduct your science and play with your star-friend. Let's get going already and into the lap of luxury.

[Hastily added in.]

Boss. Buddy. Pal. Section 4 only has two bedrooms, I'm afraid. So unless you like couches...

You actually live in the same quarters as Boss?

I'm so sorry.

Strikes visible for a moment, then stricken out

What can I say? I am a very generous man.

That and two of my best friends are ninjas.

That's a valuable public service you're providing, then. You're braver than I thought - no offense meant, of course.

So I've heard.

None taken at all. Heck, even I didn't think I was this courageous.

It comes in handy at times.

Sometimes we surprise ourselves. He hasn't had any more bright ideas, has he?

I'm sure. [He's wondering if this is a threat/warning.]

ooc: CANT WE ALL JUST GET ALONG?! /lolololol I love the Rogue vs Youth thing

OOC

[identity profile] desig-survivor.livejournal.com 2010-04-26 08:35 pm (UTC)(link)
He so read most of that crossed-out exchange in Genius's last entry. It's not paranoia if people aren't far from convinced that it would be fun to kill him in his sleep.

...Have realized that I cannot canon-update Rogue, because this is a man who can break out of prison using a glass of water, a chair, and a videogame. However, should be interesting if I replace him with his daughter when the time comes.

[identity profile] bloody-pens.livejournal.com 2010-04-27 02:09 am (UTC)(link)
Oh, I'm sure if he does, he'll cause QUITE an uproar.

An "uproar" as in his ass being tossed out of my house.

[identity profile] desig-survivor.livejournal.com 2010-04-27 02:14 am (UTC)(link)
You could write about it, maybe.

I wonder if that would shake him, get him to change his ways.

...Probably not. Does he even have a job?

[identity profile] bloody-pens.livejournal.com 2010-04-27 02:24 am (UTC)(link)
He'd definitely make an entertaining character.

I honestly don't know. I'm having trouble deciding if he's really this dense or just that good an actor.

No, he doesn't, though I keep trying to push him into getting one so he stops mooching. I'm getting a little tired of supporting him, though.

[identity profile] desig-survivor.livejournal.com 2010-04-27 02:31 am (UTC)(link)
Not sure how he'd fit into the Bernard-and-Nannerpus canon, though.

If he hasn't dropped the idiot routine so far... yeah.

I don't think most places would take him. Honestly, you must have weapons-grade patience to last even this long. Does he have any hidden talents?

[identity profile] bloody-pens.livejournal.com 2010-04-27 09:48 pm (UTC)(link)
Perhaps I can make a new series of horror novels featuring him as the protagonist.

Aside from aggravation times 20, haven't seen him display any unusual powers yet. Honestly, I only keep him around at this point so he doesn't guilt or trick some other poor soul into letting him mooch.

[identity profile] desig-survivor.livejournal.com 2010-04-27 11:26 pm (UTC)(link)
Those would sell nicely, I think. Problem is, being the star of anything would go to his head. Got any pseudonyms in mind?

And we're very grateful for that, no kidding.
